The Whit Davis Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization is a non-profit organization and partnership between parents, teachers, and school staff working together to make our school an exciting, supportive, and engaging place for every student.
Our PTO is made up entirely of volunteer parents and teachers who generously give their time and talents to support our school. Every fundraiser, family event, meeting, and special activity is planned and organized by parents and teachers who are balancing jobs, families, and busy schedules—all because they care about making Whit Davis a wonderful place for our children.
Through fundraising, volunteering, and community involvement, the PTO helps provide resources that directly benefit our students and teachers. Funds raised by the PTO help support classroom requests, educational materials, teacher appreciation, school programs, and other needs that enhance the learning experience.
The PTO also plans and sponsors fun events throughout the school year that bring our Wildcat community together. In past years, we've hosted school dances, our fall festival, the Wildcat Walk, a chili cook-off, and our popular holiday shop, where students can purchase affordable gifts for family and friends.
Many of these events also serve as fundraisers, helping us raise money to support our students, teachers, and school. While our events may change from year to year, our mission remains the same: to create memorable experiences, strengthen our school community, and give back to Whit Davis.
Because we're an all-volunteer organization, we welcome new ideas, helping hands, and fresh perspectives. Whether you have an hour to volunteer, want to serve on a committee, or simply attend meetings to stay informed, there's a place for everyone in the PTO. Every family is welcome, and every contribution—big or small—helps make a difference.
